$4.65 billion was withdrawn in the first 9.5 hours after reopening. That sounds scary until you look at the scale: net outflows were $3.64 billion, about 2.1% of Binance’s $171 billion in assets.

Figures from Binance (November 1, 06:00–15:30 UTC):

- Withdrawals: $4.649 billion

- Deposits: $101 million

- Net outflows: approximately $3.64 billion

- Share of total assets of $171 billion: 2.1%

All 15 networks were open by 12:36 UTC. Withdrawals slowed after the initial surge.

Why I stayed:

1. Even after the hacks in the past, Binance is still a top CEX (centralized exchange) for me, and the custodial wallet I trust most. That said, nothing is 100% safe.

2. After seeing how the team handled this hack, I still have a high level of trust in them, especially @CZ and @Yi He.

3. I need to keep a balance on Binance to continue earning Alpha Points (Binance Alpha airdrop points, partly based on your account balance).

4. Yi He also hinted that a community rewards campaign is coming soon.

This is my personal choice, not advice. If self-custody helps you sleep better, that’s a fair answer too.
