The transfer has been Pending for two hours. Your money isn't lost, but it hasn't arrived either.

It's just stuck in the queue: the transaction has been broadcast, but hasn't been included in a block yet. This can happen if the gas fee is too low or the network is congested.

First, don't do the dumbest thing: send the same amount again.

If the old transaction gets confirmed later, you'll pay twice. Don't try to fix it this way just because you're in a hurry.

Open the transaction in your wallet activity. The button is usually on the details page. There are only two options:

1. To keep it going, tap Speed Up.

Your wallet will send another transaction with the same nonce and a higher gas fee. Once the new one is included, the old one is automatically invalidated. **Only one transaction will be executed, so you won't be charged gas twice.**

2. Don’t want to transfer anymore? Tap Cancel.

The principle is exactly the same: send a transaction for 0, to yourself, using the same nonce as the original transaction. Once the new one is confirmed, the old one is invalidated. But note: **cancelling also costs gas—it’s not a free way to change your mind.**

Before you do anything, check your gas balance. On the $BNB chain, you’ll need $BNB to pay the gas for both speeding up and cancelling the transaction. Don’t cut it too close—leave yourself some extra.

There’s one more important distinction that beginners often miss:

A withdrawal from an exchange that’s stuck as “Processing” isn’t covered by this method. That’s an internal platform process—the transaction isn’t even in your wallet, so tapping Speed Up won’t help. Check the withdrawal status on the platform, and contact customer support if it’s been stuck for too long.

Don’t do anything if it’s only been a few minutes since you sent it, either. The network may just be slow, and it’ll confirm on its own if you wait. Only speed up or cancel after you’ve waited long enough and confirmed that it’s really stuck.

How long did you wait for the transaction that got stuck the longest?
