The crypto market is returning to fundamentals. When choosing projects, it’s not enough to look at the narrative—you also need to consider protocol revenue and token value accrual.
A recent assessment identified 5 revenue-generating tokens:
#hype : Annualized revenue of $773 million, with ongoing buybacks and burns, ranking first.
#sky : Annualized revenue of $162 million, with profits allocated to reserves, buybacks, and staking rewards.
#Cake : Annualized revenue of $48 million. Some protocol fees go toward buybacks and burns, and the token has been deflationary for 37 consecutive months.
#Aero : Annualized revenue of $92 million. Users who lock their tokens can share in protocol revenue, but token issuance still creates dilution pressure.
#UNI : Annualized revenue of $87 million contributes to value accrual for holders. Buybacks and burns support the token’s value, but new supply remains a source of pressure.

Two things matter most: whether the protocol can keep generating revenue, and whether that revenue truly flows back to token holders.
