Strategy resumed buying, purchasing 811 $BTC , but kept roughly 60% of its stock-sale proceeds as cash, leaving less for new buying.
If you already hold $BTC , is this a reason to extend your holding period? Resumed purchases indicate a real improvement in demand, but their staying power still depends on how funds are allocated.
The 8-K filed on November 2 shows that from October 26 to November 1, net proceeds from stock sales totaled $164 million; $65.5 million went toward buying coins, while $98.5 million was retained as cash. No coins were purchased the previous week. Some funds were also used to repurchase preferred stock and should not be counted as BTC buying.
Over the full six-hour period ending at 5 p.m. Hong Kong time on November 3, Binance BTC spot trading volume rose about 34% from the previous six hours, but the share of aggressive buys fell from 48.2% to 41.1%. The higher volume has yet to be accompanied by more aggressive buying; this only reflects support during that period and cannot identify corporate orders.
Continuing to hold preserves the opportunity to benefit from demand driven by further corporate purchases, but also carries the risk of a pullback if those purchases fall short and support remains weak. Reducing exposure means less participation in a potential rebound. The case for extending a holding period would be more complete if the amount of financing allocated to coin purchases continues to rise and spot-market buying also strengthens.
