How can someone get ahead of a transaction before it even makes it on-chain?
My understanding: On-chain transactions are generally publicly visible before they're included in a block. Whoever can determine the order of transactions may be able to profit from it.
MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) refers to the extra profit gained by arranging the order of transactions in a block, or by adding or removing transactions.
What I do: Larger swaps can be split into several smaller ones to reduce the losses from being sandwiched in a single transaction.
Market right now: $ETH is quoted at 2259.31, 24h -0.99%.
