Price is rising, funding is negative, and shorts are still piling in. There’s only one direction I believe in with this setup: $HOT is going up.

Since 9 p.m. last night, the price has climbed steadily from 0.00038 to 0.000467. The 24-hour futures market is up 12%, and both pullbacks around noon today found support above 0.00042. At first glance, it looks like people are trying to revive an old coin, but the data tell a different story:

- Open interest has doubled from about 2.26 million U yesterday afternoon to about 5.03 million U now, and barely dipped during the pullbacks. The money is staying in the market.
- Funding is settled hourly, and every settlement since 9 a.m. today has been between -0.15% and -0.23%. Shorts are paying longs every hour.
- 61% of accounts across the market are long, but large traders’ long/short positions are close to 53/47. Retail sentiment leans bullish, but positioning isn’t lopsided.

Traders going against the trend and shorting are paying interest continuously, while open interest isn’t falling. That’s fuel for a short squeeze. 0.00042 is the key level for this move: hold it, and we could see another run at 0.000467. A breakout would open up room to challenge the 30-day high of 0.000483. If it drops below 0.00042, exit—don’t get stubborn.

Do you think there’s real money behind this HOT rally, or is it just a move driven by an overcrowded short trade? If you’re holding a position, share your entry price.
