👨👧👧⚠️ A bug was discovered in the XRP Ledger that could allow extra stablecoins to be issued
The vulnerability could have allowed stablecoin issuers’ partners to create additional tokens without the appropriate authorization.
🔧 The fix fixCleanup3_4_0 is planned for activation on Wednesday, November 4.
❗️XRP itself is not affected. The issue concerns tokens issued on the XRPL network, including stablecoins.
The vulnerability concerns the separation of permissions to issue and destroy tokens, not unrestricted issuance by all partners.
There are no confirmed cases of exploitation.
