From 9 to 11 a.m., $AKE surged from 0.0047 to 0.00649 in one go, gaining nearly 40%. Then the 11 a.m. candle gave it all back, and now it’s at 0.0046—lower than before the pump.

Was this bottom-fishing money moving in, or one last bull trap? My answer is clear: a bull trap. The bounce is a chance to sell.

The data speaks for itself:
Funding rates have been deeply negative for several periods in a row: -0.427% at the 08:00 settlement, -0.321% at 12:00, and the next estimate is already down to -0.49%. By position size, large traders are 52% short, but 60% of accounts across the market are still long. The dip buyers haven’t left, and the overhead is packed with bagholders.
Look at the trend, too: the daily candle opened at 0.021 on October 30, and the price has fallen 78% since then. Every high-volume rebound has been met by even heavier selling. Today’s 11 a.m. one-hour candle traded 26 million U, the highest volume of the day. The price turned down on the heaviest volume—that’s supply hitting the market, not demand buying in.

I’m watching two levels: 0.0052 is the platform where today’s pump began. If the price can’t reclaim it, the trend is weak; if it gets back above 0.0053, I’ll step aside and wait. Below, 0.0045 is today’s low. If that breaks, stop-losses from dip buyers could all hit the market at once.

The only wildcard is the negative funding rate: shorts are paying longs every 4 hours, so don’t hold a heavily leveraged short position.

Do you think today’s candle is a genuine bottom-fishing signal, or just another trap? If you bought the dip, share your entry price; if you’re bearish, tell us why.
