Binance announces: Phase 2 withdrawals begin opening at 12:00 today, with more assets gradually restored across 9 networks
Confirmed: Official restoration update #6 was released this morning. Phase 2 will gradually open starting at 12:00 Beijing time today.
The networks included are BSC, ETH, SOL, XRP, SUI, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron, and Base—9 in total. Newly added assets include DOGE, ADA, LINK, SHIB, USD1, FDUSD, and more. Each will be made available only after passing security checks; it’s available only when it appears on the withdrawal page.
Things are cooling down on the funds front: DefiLlama data shows net outflows of $2.57 billion on Monday, less than half of Sunday’s $6.1 billion. On the first day, Binance reported $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits over nine and a half hours—a net outflow of $3.64 billion, or 2.10% of its $171 billion in total assets.
My take: Phase 1 covered the big names like BTC and ETH. Phase 2 is for the wide variety of coins users hold. Whether people can withdraw them smoothly is the real second half of rebuilding trust.
What I’m doing: I’m only going by the actual status shown on the withdrawal page. Don’t trust anyone charging a fee to speed up withdrawals or asking you to claim compensation from some so-called Binance vault. Binance’s exact words were that anyone charging to speed things up is a scammer. If Phase 2 opens only the listed assets but not withdrawal volumes, or net outflows start rising again, then this assessment no longer holds.
Choose one: Is the coin you’re waiting to withdraw on the Phase 2 list, or have you already withdrawn it?
