Let’s talk about shorting AKE. Those of you who’ve been following along know that yesterday we opened a short position on AKE around the 6205 level, and it dipped as low as around 0.00475.
This morning, we shorted AKE again, entering around 0.00578 and setting the stop loss around 0.0064. After the stop loss was hit, the price instantly plunged, and we missed the move entirely.
Quite a few people said it was a shame, and that if I hadn’t set a stop loss, I would’ve caught the move. But would that have been the right thing to do? What if the price had kept rising? What if it had never turned back?
You would’ve lost even more. Don’t make irrational decisions just because you missed out on a profit once or twice when it was right within reach!
Still, I have to say that our overall direction was absolutely right! Goodbye, AKE—you’ve left me heartbroken!$AKE #AKE
