Midday briefing | Tokenized stocks: the key isn’t just putting prices on-chain.
CoinDesk reported on Nov. 2 that Broadridge, Computershare, Equiniti, and Superstate are participating in the NYSE’s planned blockchain market, which involves shareholder records and voting services. Note: this is progress on a plan, not a full launch.
My take: What RWA really needs is a way to connect rights registration, dividends, and voting—not just a trading interface. When evaluating a project, first ask: What legal rights do holders have? Who is responsible for redemption? What restrictions apply to transfers? Progress in industry infrastructure does not automatically mean the value of related tokens will rise.
