Apple beat expectations on both earnings and revenue, but tech stocks weren’t impressed; policy support for A-shares is ramping up as the world awaits the election.

BTC fell below $77,000 to around $76,700. In the near term, watch for support around $76,500.

🇺🇸 U.S. stocks: Dow +0.41%, S&P 500 -0.51%, Nasdaq -1.07%, Philadelphia Semiconductor Index -3.37%. Apple’s FY2026 Q4 revenue was about $114.5 billion, with EPS of $2.10; both beat expectations. But profits were boosted by tariff refunds, and the market is still weighing future growth and cost pressures. Beating expectations doesn’t mean valuation pressure has gone away.

🇨🇳 A-shares: Today, the central bank conducted its third SFISF operation, with 31 securities and fund companies reporting demand exceeding 100 billion yuan. The relending facility for share buybacks and increased holdings has become a long-term policy arrangement, with the rate cut from 1.25% to 1%. Note: The amount requested is not the same as the funds actually provided. Watch the final operation size and how the funds are used.

🌏 Asia-Pacific: South Korea’s market saw sharp volatility and came under renewed pressure in pre-market trading today; Japan’s markets are closed for Culture Day.

🛢️ Oil and gold: Brent fell about 7.6% to $104.77, while WTI dropped about 7.4% to $96.46. Prospects for U.S.-Iran negotiations eased geopolitical risk premiums, and gold rebounded.

Uncle’s view: Global risk appetite has yet to truly recover. AI trading is moving from storytelling to earnings delivery, while A-shares are getting a boost from additional policy tools. Today, don’t just focus on how big the headlines are; watch whether policy can translate into real buying support.
