Two days ago I drew a circle on the calendar, and today it has really arrived.
$KITE is expected to hit a one-year cliff unlock tonight at around 9 p.m. (Beijing time). I just checked the price: 0.116, which has already given back some of the 0.126 high from the day before yesterday. Over the past 24 hours, it’s down roughly four or five percent. Oddly enough, trading isn’t lively either; spot volume is still less than 1 million dollars a day. The closer it gets to the unlock, the quieter the market looks, and the more uneasy I feel.
Different sources still don’t agree on the unlock amount: some say about 200 million tokens, others say six or seven hundred million. I’m not fixated on the exact number. I only care about one thing—after tonight, the circulating supply will clearly increase, and both exchange inflows and sell-off pressure need to be watched.
My own rule is simple: if it breaks below 0.108 (around the low from the previous 24 hours the day before yesterday), I won’t stubbornly fight the narrative. The broader market, $BTC , is also hovering around 77k, and $BNB is a little over 700, with no one stepping in to support it.
Are you moving half out before the unlock, or planning to hold and see how tonight plays out? Just my personal view—manage your own position carefully.
