#美国中期选举倒计时,美股博弈窗口已开启? $JPMB $AMZNB $TSLAB
Americans vote in the midterm elections today. Polymarket and Kalshi put the Democrats’ chances of winning the House at 94%–95%, while their odds of taking the Senate range from 63% to 73%. In other words, a divided government is already the market’s base case. What has yet to be fully priced in is control of the Senate.

Morgan Stanley has shifted its focus from who wins to three key areas: fiscal spending, regulatory policy, and financial markets. The logic is straightforward: once Democrats win the House, sweeping tax and spending changes are effectively blocked, but investigative powers, hearings, and budget leverage can immediately become tools for disrupting individual stocks.

Historical data, however, favor a “deadlock”: during Republican presidencies, the S&P 500 gained an average of 23% in the year following midterm elections that produced a divided Congress, compared with 16% when Democrats controlled both chambers. But U.S. stocks have already outperformed the typical level for the second year of a presidential term in 2026, which means the remaining upside implied by “historical gains” may not be as generous as the numbers suggest.

For readers on Binance Square, the key thing to watch is this: if Republicans unexpectedly retain the Senate, expectations of tighter regulation will be scaled back, leaving room for risk assets to reprice in the short term. Conversely, the tail-risk scenario of a Democratic sweep is what could trigger heightened volatility.
