According to CNBC, Jim Cramer said falling oil prices and Treasury yields helped fuel a broad stock market rally, though he cautioned that the gains may be difficult to sustain. Brent crude fell 7.63% Monday to close at $104.77 per barrel, and the 10-year Treasury yield dropped to its lowest level since Sept. 10. Stocks rose across healthcare, financials, retail and travel.
Amazon gained 2% Monday, recovering after initially struggling following its quarterly report last week. Waste Management rose 1.8%, while medical device makers Medtronic, GE HealthCare and Intuitive Surgical gained 3%, 4% and 1%, respectively. Capital One jumped 3%, and Walmart and Costco each rose roughly 3%. Cramer said lower rates and oil prices were helping investors look beyond technology for growth opportunities, but warned the simultaneous flow of money into stocks was not sustainable.
