【The 2017 retreat of “faith coins” feels a little like this】
In 2017, I watched the “next-generation internet” crowd rush in. In the end, I realized the grander the story, the sharper the knife when the tide went out. STRK is down 99% from its ATH. Being oversold doesn’t mean a reversal—it just means expectations have been squeezed out.
I’m leaning ⬇️ over the next 7 days, for three reasons: down 5.1% in 24 hours, 12.1% over 7 days, and 20.8% over 30 days—the selling pressure hasn’t stopped; FNG is at 37, with a weekly average of 40—fear is present but not out of control, so bad sentiment can still unwind; and trading volume is 5% of market cap. If it breaks below 0.039561, heavy volume could easily turn into a rush for the exits. A recovery would only count if it holds support and sees turnover above 0.044708.
In practical terms, short-term holders will feel the pain first, and traders will get whipped around by the volatility. The investment case isn’t “it’s fallen a lot, so it should rise”; it’s whether STRK can turn usage into sustained demand. A narrative can’t replace value capture—otherwise, a 99% drop is only a matter of time.
What would make me admit I’m wrong? A high-volume hold above 0.044708, or a clear BTC rally that lifts altcoins with it. I’ll be tempted to make a move too, but itchy fingers aren’t analysis. If that happens, I’ll own it—I won’t dig in my heels.
Are you itching to buy, cutting your losses, or playing dead and waiting to break even? Let’s see who’s right next week.
⬆️ Bullish / ⬇️ Bearish / ➡️ Sideways
My call: ⬇️ Bearish
