⚠️ Brazilian crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin has temporarily halted deposits and withdrawals following a cyber incident.
On November 2, the platform said it had detected and promptly contained an issue in one of its systems. According to the exchange, customer funds were not affected and no data was leaked.
Hypernative analysts detected suspicious transfers totaling more than $40 million across several blockchains. This is a preliminary estimate, not a loss amount confirmed by the exchange.
The timeline for resuming operations has not yet been announced.
