Hyperliquid whales: LINK shorts at about $16.9M vs. longs at about $4.36M (about 79% short); price is still about 3.9% below MA20—I’m not chasing.
What I see: As of about 23:03 tonight (UTC+8), WhaleRadar tracked whale shorts of about $16.9M and longs of about $4.36M, with shorts accounting for about 79%. The largest position is Cobalt Manta’s short of about $5M (entry around 10.66). The current price is ≈11.35, still about 3.9% below MA20 at ≈11.82; today’s low is ≈11.24. 24h: about −2.3%. ADA is also trading about 9.6% below MA20.
My take: Big players are leaning into shorts—this isn’t a signal for me to go long.
Watching, not chasing: I’ll reassess if it gets back above MA20 ≈11.82 and holds above today’s low of 11.24. If it breaks below 11.24, I’ll assume the selling pressure hasn’t run its course.
Do you think shorts are overcrowded and due for a bounce, or will moving-average resistance keep weighing on price?
