$SOL This week has been the roughest one of these for me.

I was still writing about it in the early hours of last Friday: 101.71, going in circles between 99 and 103. I said it wasn’t giving you an answer.

Turns out it did—and it was the worst kind.

A huge red candle in the early hours of Thursday, and 100 was gone just like that. It plunged straight to 92.34. There was just one thought in my mind: here it goes, down to 90.

It didn’t go down to 90, but it didn’t bounce back properly either. It surged back to 98, only to get pushed down again. Then for three days it slowly ground lower and lower—to 95, then 94, one small red candle after another, like it was leaking air.

It’s 11 p.m. now, and it’s at 94.26.

From the high of 103.85, that’s a 9.2% drop. What stings even more is that today it couldn’t even get back to last week’s low of 99.16.

The most grueling part wasn’t that one big drop. It’s watching it end up a little lower every day afterward.

Did you buy in around 92, or are you like me, watching it get lower day after day?
