🧊 $BTC held the $78,000 level, but this rebound looks more like healing than a reversal.
Latest prices: Bitcoin is around $77,881, essentially flat over the past 24 hours; $ETH is around $2,286, up nearly 1%; BNB and Solana are slightly weaker. One detail in the volume and price action is worth noting: futures trading volume surged, but open interest barely moved—existing funds are changing hands, while new money hasn’t come in yet.
The news is equally mixed: after Binance reopened withdrawals, net outflows were around $3.6 billion, though the platform says about 95% of the stolen funds have been covered; U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $643 million in net outflows last Friday, the biggest single-day outflow since June. On top of that, Bitcoin fell around 7.5% in October, so market sentiment has clearly not fully recovered.
My short-term take: holding $78,000 is a good sign, but ETF flows and this week’s macro events (the U.S. midterm elections and Friday’s nonfarm payrolls report) will be the next drivers. Until there’s a breakout on strong volume, it’s better to wait for confirmation than chase the rally.
Do you think we’ll break above $80,000 first this week, or retest $75,000 first?
