At noon today, I came across a post about someone whose wallet was drained after they approved a transaction while minting on a website. I immediately went to check my own wallet.

Sure enough, I found one: an unlimited approval left over from a USDT swap. I had no memory of authorizing it at all. I’ve revoked it, and my list of approvals is now empty.

While I was at it, I sent a bunch of useless NFT airdrops to the burn address too. My wallet feels much tidier now.

My rule: approve only the exact amount needed, then revoke it when you’re done; check your approvals after every swap. It’s a hassle, but cheaper than getting hacked.

When was the last time you checked your wallet approvals?

Personal notes. DYOR. Not investment advice.
