Several banking industry insiders revealed:

The share of people applying for 40-year mortgages in September and October was lower than expected.
One nationwide bank issued only around 800 loans over the two months, and the market is still generally taking a wait-and-see approach.
There were more than twice as many customers applying for loans with terms of around 30 years as for 40-year mortgages.
Buyers purchasing higher-priced homes are more likely to choose 40-year mortgages.

For projects that obtained pre-sale permits after August 28, loans can only be disbursed after the projects have been completed and registered.
This has significantly delayed disbursements.

The number of applications is still expected to grow to some extent going forward.

I just don't understand:
What were the people who introduced this policy thinking at the time? 😂😂😂
