Motherson Sumi Wiring India share$TRUMP
Jumps 12% on strong quarterly results
Motherson Sumi Wiring India shares rose 12.1% to 39.39 rupees during today's session, driven by exceptional quarterly earnings that prompted brokerages to raise their forecasts.
The company's second-quarter results for fiscal year 2027, approved by the board of directors on 30/10/2026, showed revenue of 4,054 crore rupees, up 47% year over year. Net profit after tax jumped 35% to 223 crore rupees, significantly exceeding analyst estimates.
The earnings outperformance was supported by several structural drivers, most notably higher customer sales volumes, increased content per vehicle as consumers shift toward premium segments, participation in the launch of new electric and conventional vehicle models, and the successful ramp-up of three new plants to full production capacity. EBITDA rose 34% year over year to 374 crore rupees. Although the EBITDA margin edged down year over year due to higher copper costs—which are fully passed on to customers without affecting margins—it expanded significantly quarter over quarter, reassuring investors about the long-term margin trajectory.
