What’s the difference between perpetual and delivery contracts?
Binance delivery contracts are set up by quarter. There are usually two types, “current quarter” and “next quarter,” referring to the quarter in which they expire. Perpetual contracts have no expiration date, so positions can be held indefinitely as long as they aren’t liquidated. Their prices track spot prices through funding rates.
The premium of delivery contracts over spot prices is generally understood to reflect funding costs and market sentiment, not to predict future prices.
