Spot BTC ETFs saw $643 million in net outflows in a single Friday. I’m not chasing this weekend bounce.
October 30 was the first full trading day after the Binance event. BlackRock’s IBIT saw $234 million in outflows, while Fidelity’s FBTC saw $201 million—those two alone accounted for two-thirds of the total.
That wiped out roughly $441 million in inflows over the four days from October 26 to 29, leaving the week with net outflows of about $203 million. BTC hit a Friday low of around $76,300 and only bounced back to about $78,000 over the weekend.
I don’t think this is retail panic. Institutions are trimming their positions after the event; money is moving faster than prices.
I’m sitting tight. I’ll talk about a bottom once BTC gets back above $80,000. If it falls below Friday’s low of $76,300, that would show the weakness isn’t over.
Which do you expect: institutions buying back in on Monday, or more withdrawals?
