**BTC** is everywhere today, and not by chance: it touched **78417**, swept the **previous daily high (PDH) at 78388**, and bounced. That’s what we call **confirmed resistance**. The price reached it, tested it, and fell.
But here’s the catch: classic analysis says “confirmed uptrend.” The Wyckoff reading says “no clear structural signal: follow the dominant bias.” And what is that bias? **Bearish on the weekly and yearly timeframes**, bullish only on 4H and 1H. In other words: a short-term bounce within a long-term structure that still points downward.
The **Fear & Greed** index is at **37** (fear), just 3 points above yesterday. The market doesn’t trust the rally. And when the price rises but sentiment stays fearful, bounces tend to be short-lived.
**What is a resistance sweep?** It’s when the price touches or briefly breaks above a key level and then falls. It could be a genuine test (looking for demand) or an **upthrust** (an intentional sweep to trap buyers before the price falls). In this case, the price touched 78417, just 29 dollars above the PDH, then turned back without any sustained effort. That’s **effort without result**: it tried to rise, but failed.
The question now: will it test the **daily low at 77607** before making a decision? Or will it consolidate between 77607 and 78388 to accumulate or distribute? With the bearish weekly bias still intact, any bounce is suspect until proven otherwise.
**How do you see this move?** A bounce within a downtrend, or the start of a reversal? Share your take in the comments.
