Once the withdrawal gates opened, Binance saw $5.8 billion in net outflows over 24 hours. To be clear, this wasn’t another hack—users withdrew the funds themselves. Binance’s own figures are more conservative: in the first few hours, $4.6 billion was withdrawn and $1 billion deposited back, for a net outflow of $3.6 billion. Since then, withdrawals have slowed and stabilized. Compared with its roughly $171 billion in customer assets, this is still a relatively small amount. But after the largest hack in history, involving $6.3 billion, how many people are really leaving, and how many are just moving their funds somewhere else for now?
