#币安已覆盖60亿美元被盗损失
Binance has updated its response to the recent hot wallet hack. The total amount stolen was approximately $6.3 billion, and the platform has now covered about $6 billion of the losses. It is still working to secure the remaining small amount in low-liquidity tokens.
The compensation is funded by the SAFU user protection fund and the platform’s own funds. Binance reiterated that the platform will bear all losses and that users’ assets will not be affected.
The platform had previously frozen some of the stolen on-chain assets and launched a phased withdrawal restoration plan, prioritizing major cryptocurrencies such as BTC and ETH.
Although the compensation has eased user concerns, a wave of mass withdrawals continues to deplete the platform’s available funds. Key developments to watch include the progress in covering the remaining losses, updates to proof of reserves, and the full security review report.$BNB
