【Trading volume suddenly exceeds 5% of market cap—is AVAX about to make a move?】
A clear market signal just emerged: AVAX trading volume has surged abnormally, exceeding 5% of its market cap. Yet the price is stuck at $ 8.63, up 0.5% over 24 hours and down 2.8% over 7 days. When volume moves first but price doesn’t, it usually means tokens are changing hands—not that a direction has been confirmed.
I’m more interested in three sets of on-chain data: are large holders accumulating or distributing; are exchanges seeing net inflows or outflows; and are active addresses increasing at the same time? 8.35 is support and 9.2 is resistance, but candlestick charts can only draw lines. If large holders reduce their positions, tokens flow back to exchanges, and active addresses decline, the volume spike looks more like a pump-and-dump. If large holders accumulate, exchanges see net outflows, and active addresses pick up, then $ 9.2 could become a level to test.
In practice, trading platforms, wallets, and liquidity providers will be the first to feel the impact of this change in token ownership. Whether applications can sustain trading activity and cash flow is what matters to the business model—not just shouting “the ecosystem is booming.”
I think AVAX is on the eve of a directional move. The fundamentals haven’t deteriorated, and if on-chain holdings continue to consolidate, a medium-term recovery has a basis. If the price falls back below $ 8.35 after the volume spike, don’t make excuses for the story.
On-chain data doesn’t lie. What do you think?
