【Down 99%—why isn’t STRK cheap yet?】

STRK is currently trading at around $0.0428, down 99% from its all-time high. But when I’m actually working on projects, the thing I dread hearing most is: “It’s fallen so much already, so there should be a margin of safety.”

A low price doesn’t mean low value. STRK’s real value lies in its role as the token of the Starknet network, where it is used for transaction fees, staking, governance, and more. It’s helpful to think of it as a voucher for spending at a shopping mall: the voucher has value when there’s real foot traffic. If nobody comes in, being cheap is just being cheap.

In practice, users will only pay for a transaction experience that’s affordable, stable, and works smoothly. They won’t start using a token just because its price has fallen sharply. Developers can benefit from low-cost deployment and user growth, but it’s STRK holders who bear the real risk that network usage will remain insufficient.

So this nearly 99% decline only shows that market expectations are already very poor; it doesn’t prove that the fundamentals have bottomed out. Investment decisions shouldn’t focus on “how much further can it fall?” but on whether the network has sustained applications, whether transaction fees can generate real demand, and whether that demand can flow back into the token’s value.

Remember: a 99% drop from the high is a fact about price. Whether the business model can complete the loop is what determines value.

What worries you more about this STRK downturn: that demand won’t take off, or that the sentiment-driven sell-off isn’t over yet?
