🎂 On this day 18 years ago, Bitcoin was born.

On October 31, 2008, amid the global financial crisis, an unknown person or group using the name Satoshi Nakamoto published a 9-page white paper introducing a revolutionary new form of money: Bitcoin.

And the rest became history.

Here’s how the journey unfolded:

- 2009: The Bitcoin network launched. Satoshi sent the first Bitcoin transaction to Hal Finney.

- 2010: 10,000 BTC were exchanged for two pizzas.

- 2011: Bitcoin reached $1.

- 2012: Bitcoin's first halving.

- 2013: Bitcoin's price surpassed $1,000.

- 2016: Bitcoin's second halving.

- 2017: Bitcoin's price surpassed $10,000, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange launched Bitcoin futures contracts.

- 2020: The third halving took place, and MicroStrategy (now known as Strategy) began accumulating Bitcoin.

- 2021: Tesla bought $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin. El Salvador adopted it as legal tender, and Bitcoin's market capitalization reached $1 trillion.

- 2024: Spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in the United States, the fourth halving took place, and Bitcoin's price surpassed $100,000.

- 2025: The United States established a strategic Bitcoin reserve, Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $126,198, and the 20 millionth BTC was mined.

From a 9-page white paper to a trillion-dollar asset, Bitcoin changed the course of the global financial conversation.

And perhaps the most fascinating part?

Its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, disappeared in 2011, and their identity has never been revealed.

18 years. We don't know who created it. No central authority. Just an idea that changed the world of money.

Happy 18th birthday, Bitcoin! ₿
