Everyone, $UAI took a serious beating today, down 36.335% in 24 hours.
Current price: 0.2015. 24-hour high: 0.3341; low: 0.1903.
First, let’s look at where it stands.
Measured against the last 40 daily candles, the high was 0.4295 and the low was 0.1903. At 0.2015, the current price is at the 4.7th percentile.
That’s practically the bottom of this stretch, 39.69% below the high.
What about volume?
Today’s daily candle opened at 0.3073, with volume of 150019167, compared with 53124739 the day before—
that’s 2.82 times higher. A 36-percentage-point drop on nearly three times the volume—that’s distribution. When that volume bar shot up,
it was like someone forcing open the warehouse doors from the inside.
There’s only so much money in this sector. Once price breaks down, whoever’s closest to the pot gets served first. People are scrambling to grab the tokens, not slowly grinding them away.
The strange part is the funding rate. After a drop like this, perpetuals are still at +0.005%, with longs paying the whole time. If this were short covering after a squeeze,
the rate should have turned negative by now. This reading looks more like longs pulling the ladder up themselves while shorts calmly scoop up tokens.
At first glance, I thought I’d read it wrong. I checked twice before believing it.
Trading volume was 43541721 USDT across 690852 trades, with turnover almost every minute over the past 24 hours. Open interest is 29525186 contracts,
still sitting there. Liquidity hasn’t dried up; what’s missing is buying support.
At this level, my move is to pay less attention to it. The first rebound candle after a high-volume breakdown is usually an exit window for people who are underwater,
not a stepping stone for new money to get in. The 4.7th percentile looks cheap, but cheap doesn’t mean it’s the bottom.
Anyone still holding this one, let’s talk in the comments: did you cut your losses, or are you holding on?
