Just a side note: I used to love watching the long-short ratio. Whenever I saw that the percentage of people going long was high, I’d follow suit and open a long position. Several times, I ended up getting stopped out by a single wick.
Only later did I realize: the long-short ratio tells you which side most people are betting on, but the market often likes to move in the direction fewer people are on.
