According to Binance’s latest official update dated November 1, 2026, the earlier incident was addressed through a series of measures, including:
Temporarily suspending withdrawals as a precaution to contain the impact of the incident, and examining the withdrawal infrastructure and affected services.
Enhanced security reviews and verification that services were ready before restarting them.
Tracking the stolen assets in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and industry partners.
Covering the financial impact using Binance’s own resources rather than passing it on to users; Binance stated that approximately 95% of the affected assets had been covered by that update.
Resuming withdrawals in stages, starting with specific networks and assets such as BTC, ETH, BNB, USDT, USDC, and others, with additional networks to be added after stability and security checks were completed.
Deposits remained available, although temporary withdrawal delays could occur during the recovery phase due to operational pressure.
Binance stated that BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC balances were fully backed, according to the proof-of-reserves snapshot referenced in the announcement.

Binance also noted that it would publish a report with further details about the incident after the investigation was complete.
