REX Shares and Osprey Funds updated their application for the $SEI staking-backed exchange-traded fund with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, setting October 23 as its effective date.
The fund aims to provide direct exposure to SEI while incorporating staking rewards into its proposed structure, making it one of the funds that combines price exposure with network yields.
The request came as part of a filing package that includes $NEAR and $AVAX and others, reflecting institutional expansion into products tied to alternative digital assets.
Setting an effective date does not necessarily mean final approval is complete; cryptocurrency fund filings are subject to review, and their terms or timing may change.
So far, no details have been announced about fees or initial asset size, and the market remains eager to see what the next steps bring.
