【Day 5 of tracking】I’ve decided to stop checking this free pass every day

Flaggies #5179, today’s stats:

· Floor price: 0.000012 BNB, unchanged for two days straight
· Buy orders: 0
· More than 50 listings still for sale
· Down 96% from its mint price of 0.00028

It hasn’t kept crashing, and it hasn’t bounced back. It’s flatlined. That tells you more than a drop does.

Here are the three things I look at now to judge whether an asset is “dead”:

1. The floor price is stuck at an extremely low level, and there are 0 offers. It’s not getting cheaper—nobody wants it.
2. The number of listings isn’t going down. People who want to sell are still waiting in line, but no new buyers are coming in.
3. Trading activity has dropped to zero. No new mints, no new listings, no new addresses.

When all three are true, it’s no longer a matter of “waiting for it to go up”—it’s “it’s no longer in the market.”

So I’ve taken this pass off my daily watchlist. I’ll only check it again if one thing happens: the first offer appears.

A quick note on the status of my other two holdings:
· Worldygg #16597: 22,146 minted in total, 18,935 still active (more than 3,000 have already been burned in mergers)
· 4AGENT: $0.088, cost basis $0.15

Two principles to keep in mind:

1. Attention is a cost, too. Spending five minutes a day checking something with no buyers adds up to 30 hours a year—far more costly than the $0.05 I lost.

2. “Set a trigger” is more efficient than “check every day.” My trigger is “an offer appears,” not “it reaches a certain price”—because the latter will never happen with a dead market.
