According to Glassnode, U.S. spot ETH ETFs recorded net outflows for 23 consecutive trading days, the longest streak since the products launched; reports also say that outflows totaled $155.8 million on October 30.
However, Farside’s daily data does not support the claim of “23 consecutive days of total net outflows”: of October’s 22 trading days, there were net outflows on 19 days, while October 13, 21, and 23 each saw net inflows. The actual consecutive outflow streak lasted only the final 5 trading days. Cumulative net outflows in October totaled approximately $1.6072 billion, which is still a substantial amount.
Therefore, “23 days” may reflect a different methodology, or it may have been misinterpreted as the information spread. Until the methodology is clearly explained, it would be unwise to state outright that “institutions have been fleeing ETH for 23 consecutive days.”
