Let's talk about Wei Dai.
Wei Dai originally wrote Crypto++, an open-source C++ cryptography library. Its first version was released in 1995.
To be honest, I hadn't noticed this before either: early cryptographers' names are often used to market new tokens. If the name has nothing to do with the project, don't follow the hype.
$BTC cites Wei Dai's b-money as the very first reference in its white paper.
Only invest what you can afford, and leave yourself a way out.
