🔥The huge story behind Binance’s $6 billion theft! FBI confirms the hackers’ identities!

The FBI has officially announced that North Korea’s TraderTraitor hacking group was behind the theft of over $6 billion from Binance. This group has a long rap sheet—they were also behind last year’s $1.5 billion theft from Bybit. Trump previously said in an interview that the details of the case were unclear, but the investigation has now reached a conclusion.

The hackers have launched a fully automated money-laundering operation, transferring funds nonstop for 31 consecutive hours with barely a break. The stolen funds are being shuffled among hundreds of wallets to obscure their trail, with large sums flowing into various DeFi platforms and cross-chain swaps to be mixed. The FBI has publicly released the wallet addresses involved and called on the entire industry to help intercept the stolen funds. But tracking them is extremely difficult, and recovering all the assets won’t be easy.

Meanwhile, Binance is scrambling to plug the hole. Replenishment of affected assets has already reached 90%, and reserves of all major cryptocurrencies have been fully restored. The exchange has dipped into half of its SAFU emergency fund, transferring 7,500 BTC to cover the shortfall.

The reserve snapshot has now been completed, and the full zero-knowledge proof will be released on November 3. The resumption of withdrawals is still awaiting an official announcement. The crisis is far from over: replenishing the remaining smaller tokens, reopening withdrawals, and reviewing security—all of these steps are weighing on users’ minds.
