🚨 XRP’s Escrow Unlock Is Here—But It’s Not a Confirmed Sale

Ripple’s monthly escrow cycle can release up to 1 billion XRP today, November 1. The release does not automatically move tokens or mean Ripple is selling; an EscrowFinish transaction is required, and Ripple has often re-locked a large share of unlocked XRP.

The catch: Ripple’s recent institutional momentum is mostly RLUSD-focused. Its Robinhood partnership expands RLUSD settlement and treasury tools, while BNY custody supports both XRP and RLUSD—but those deals do not guarantee equivalent XRP buying demand.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse rejected claims that Ripple is abandoning XRP, calling XRP and RLUSD complementary. Ripple is targeting about $900 million in annualized product revenue, yet XRP remains down roughly 29% year-to-date.

The takeaway: Watch what Ripple actually does with unlocked XRP and whether XRPL payment volume grows. Institutional expansion alone is not the same as direct XRP demand.
