After covering 95% of the $6.3 billion stolen in the largest digital heist in history (the FBI suspects North Korea), Binance has announced a phased resumption of withdrawals.
Phase 1 will begin on Sunday, Nov. 1, between 06:00 and 09:00 GMT (01:00–04:00 ET) across 15 networks: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC, Solana, Polygon, XRP, Dogecoin, and others.
Context: withdrawals have been suspended since the Oct. 29 hack at 20:05 UTC. Binance has set aside $6.34 billion, took a PoR snapshot on Oct. 31 at 15:33, and plans to publish its full PoR report by Nov. 2. Co-CEOs Yi He and Richard Teng signed an update outlining 4 priorities: gradual resumption of withdrawals, reserve verification, recovery of frozen assets, and a technical report.
