Next week, don’t follow U.S. news on the old schedule ⏰

Today, November 1, 2026, the U.S. ends daylight saving time in places that observe it. New York turns its clocks back one hour, so the U.S. session schedule and economic releases timed to Eastern Time will be one hour later when converted to Vietnam time.

Three times to note, all in Vietnam time:

• Starting Monday, November 2: the regular NYSE session opens at 21:30 and closes at 04:00 the following morning
• Tuesday, November 3, 22:00: The BLS is scheduled to release September’s JOLTS report on job openings and labor turnover
• Friday, November 6, 20:30: The BLS is scheduled to release October’s jobs report, including nonfarm payrolls, the unemployment rate, and wages

Crypto still trades 24/7, but U.S. release times are worth keeping in mind. Labor data can shift market expectations for Fed rates, affecting the USD, bond yields, and sentiment toward risk assets.

The time change itself doesn’t signal a move up or down. When the data comes out, I’ll look at both how it compares with expectations and how the USD and yields react, rather than seeing one number and rushing to call crypto’s direction.
