ME News, November 1 (UTC+8) — Modular money market Echelon tweeted that access to its official website has been fully restored and domain name resolution is functioning normally. After investigating, the team confirmed that the incident stemmed from an unauthorized nameserver change at the domain registrar level. The domain is managed through Vercel, with Name.com as the registrar. The nameservers were changed without authorization to the registrar’s DNS, redirecting visitors to a phishing clone website. The issue was limited to the domain registrar and DNS configuration; Echelon’s smart contracts were unaffected. Earlier, Echelon tweeted yesterday that its domain may have been redirected to an unauthorized website. (Source: ME)
