I was scrolling through the gainers list around noon on Sunday, and the one that caught my attention most wasn’t actually the biggest gainer 🧐

The broader market was basically asleep: $BTC 7.77 ten-thousands, with less than a 1% move in 24 hours. But a few of the top 250 were still making moves:

- Lighter (LIT) at 3.19, up more than 16% and leading the top 250. Same story as before: they say they plan to submit an application to the CFTC in November for on-chain perpetual contracts. Note that it’s “planning to submit,” not approved—and the price already rallied once when this was announced on October 22. Also, the official account announced a network upgrade tonight at 20:00 Beijing time, with downtime expected to last less than 20 minutes. You won’t be able to place orders during that time, so plan ahead if you have open positions.
- $ZRO 1.86, up nearly 10%. I looked around but couldn’t find any clear positive news. There was even a “wallet hack” scare last night, which the team later said was just an internal reshuffle. When something rises without news, I usually watch but don’t chase.
- $XPL 0.071, down more than 12% and among the biggest losers. I haven’t seen any new bad news either, but the backdrop is clear: around 228 million tokens unlock on the 25th of every month, with the schedule running through 2028. The 0.072 support level everyone had been watching is now right under our feet.

Honestly, I’m more wary of the way XPL is moving 😅 It’s not a one-day crash; supply keeps increasing every month, and if buying pressure can’t absorb it, the price slowly grinds lower. Weekend liquidity is already thin, so both momentum chasers and dip buyers can easily get whipsawed.

The Fear and Greed Index is at 34, still in fear territory.

Just wondering: do you think Lighter submitting to the CFTC is genuinely positive news, or has the market already priced it in once back in October?

These are just my personal views, not investment advice. Manage your own positions carefully.
