━━━
📌 Morning review: This morning’s “hold” call came through
The morning’s invalidation criteria were: the 08:00 candle had to close above 77,570.1, and the 09:00 candle had to close without falling back below it for the level to count as holding.
Result: the 08:00 candle closed at 77,631, the 09:00 at 77,671.4, the 10:00 at 77,680.1, and the 11:00 at 77,740.2—all four closes were above the upper level. The 11:00 close was $170.1 above it.
But holding doesn’t mean gaining momentum: the morning’s highest wick only reached 77,866.2 on the 10:00 candle, still $133.8 short of 78,000. The 12:00 candle is still in progress, with a high of 77,781.6 and a low of 77,661; the current price is 77,754.8, so it doesn’t count as a trigger before the candle closes.
━━━
📌 If I were the market maker
The four morning closes gradually edged up along the upper level, but the wicks didn’t break through 78,000, and OI fell by 69.1 coins. This looks more like establishing firm support first and waiting until the afternoon to decide on direction than a move that’s already gained momentum.
The benefit of firmly establishing the level is that, as long as price doesn’t fall back below it this afternoon, 78,000 remains the next stop. If the level doesn’t hold, those four morning closes will have counted for nothing.
━━━
📌 This afternoon, watch only the closing levels
Invalidation points (all based on 1H candle closes; wicks don’t count):
A 1H close above 78,000 would extend the morning hold and confirm a break through 78,000.
A 1H close back below 77,570.1 would invalidate the morning hold.
A 1H close below 76,472 would invalidate the 10-31 02:00 test of the low and recovery; next, watch 76,260.
The 12:00 candle is still in progress and does not count as a close; the first candle to set the afternoon’s direction will be the 13:00 candle.
