I usually answer: A rug pull (commonly called an exit scam) is when a token issuer suddenly withdraws liquidity or sells off a large amount of tokens, making it nearly impossible for other holders to sell theirs. When it comes to LP locks, check how much is locked and when the lock expires. If only a small portion is locked, or it expires soon, the protection is very limited.
