Market Notes | $AKE | Daily chart breaks below MA200 | MA200 0.009991
Definition: Here, “move above” or “break below” means the price crossing the moving average. It is not the same as a golden cross or death cross: a golden cross generally refers to a short-term moving average crossing above a long-term one, such as MA50 crossing above MA200; a death cross is the opposite.
Common interpretation: An intraday move across the line and a confirmed close above or below it are two different things. It is more convincing when the price remains on that side of the moving average after the daily candle closes.
Indicators can fail, so don’t skip your stop-loss: deciding in advance what to do if you’re wrong matters more than whether your prediction is right.
