The president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Petroleum (CPV) in Zulia, Roy Biagioni, said that Chevron and North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) are the province’s main producers.
The Zulia chapter of the Venezuelan Chamber of Petroleum (CPV) estimates that oil production in the province will reach 400,000 barrels per day by the end of 2026, said the regional president of the industry group, Roy Biagioni.
The industry group leader noted that these projections were also announced by the Western Production Executive Directorate of state-owned PDVSA. “There are many expectations for next year, and we’ll see how things develop,” he said.
He added that crude oil production in the state is currently carried out mainly by energy companies Chevron and North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP), and that other multinational companies will increase their production starting in 2027—a development that will depend on the plans drawn up for the sector.
Biagioni explained that the signing of energy agreements has already revitalized the local oil sector through new construction projects and business contracts that are creating jobs and stimulating economic activity, with expectations of boosting commercial activity in the region.
“That has created a lot of work, many bidding processes, and many companies are getting contracts and projects. They are doing good work across all these companies. Undoubtedly, this activity will revive the local economy; it will see a lot of movement, and that’s the idea,” he said.
The CPV’s regional representative also said that PDVSA plans to strengthen local power generation capacity by adding 50 megawatts, which would allow it to operate independently of the National Electric System (SEN), he told Unión Radio in an interview.
