【Binance replenishment reaches 90%: Top 10 assets fully covered, withdrawals resume today】
According to Binance’s October 31 announcement, the replenishment ratio for stolen assets has risen from about 80% to 90%. The top 10 assets, including BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, USDT, USDC, and BNB, are now fully backed; the remaining 10% consists of less liquid tokens, which Binance is gradually replenishing through on-exchange purchases and OTC trading.
Funding sources: a partial allocation from SAFU (He Yi said that 50% of the funds at the SAFU address would be used, and promised to replenish the fund to about $1 billion), part of the futures insurance fund, and the company’s own reserves. On-chain data shows that about 7,499 BTC were transferred out of the SAFU address.
Timeline: Withdrawals are targeted to resume on November 1, but Binance has not provided a specific time; refer to the official announcement. The zero-knowledge proof of reserves will take about 40–50 hours, and users are expected to be able to verify it themselves starting November 3.
An engineer’s guide to avoiding pitfalls:
1. Trust only official announcements and in-app notifications. Phishing texts and fake customer service agents will surge on the day withdrawals resume;
2. Make a small test withdrawal first, and check the address and network;
3. Once the proof of reserves is available, verify the Merkle/ZK proof yourself—don’t just rely on what others say.
Will you withdraw as soon as services resume, or wait and see for a few days?
