Name.com confirmed that the number of customers whose domains were hijacked following a hack has risen to 15, up from the 12 initially reported. All affected domains have now been restored. Vercel disclosed that 10 of the 15 domains were associated with its platform.
In the attack, hackers compromised the websites of more than a dozen decentralized finance projects, including Flap, Kintsu, Pickle Finance, and Origami Finance. The attackers used the hijacked pages to trick visitors into connecting their wallets, then drained the crypto assets held in them.
Tracking of the stolen funds shows that about $138,000 has been frozen at three addresses on EVM-compatible chains. This figure does not include any additional losses that may have occurred on Solana or Aptos.
